ORBIS offers the newest RPCs for produce packaging

To protect produce throughout the supply chain, support sustainability initiatives and reduce labor costs at the retail environment, ORBIS Container Services provides and manages pools of "reusable plastic containers", or RPCs, that move fruits and vegetables throughout the supply chain.

These pooled containers originate at ORBIS and are shipped to the grower/shipper, where they are packed with produce, palletized and shipped to the retailer's distribution center (DC) or directly to the retail store. One container for the entire life of the produce...from harvest to merchandising.

ORBIS RPCs are based on the industry standard 24" x 16" footprint, optimize the 40" x 48" GMA-approved pallet footprint and are available in 7 popular heights. 

New in 2007! Five containers (6416, 6419, 6423, 6425 and 6428) are available in new cross-stacking design to optimize shipments. Benefits of innovative cross-stacking design:

• Enhanced sidewall ventilation for faster cooling and heat release
• Improved bottom design for easy conveyor interface
• Easy snap-locking latches
• Improved cardholder/label area, with recessed surface
